As a part of Governor Rendell's Job Ready PA strategy, the State Workforce Investment Boards created partnerships in targeted industry clusters.  These industry partnerships bring together employers, workers, and labor, in the same industry cluster to address common or human resource and organizational needs, such as recruitment, retention, career awareness, skills transfer and training. The partnerships provide incumbent worker training to member organizations and allow the group to leverage resources that may not be available to a single organization. To identify and get involved in an industry partnership near you, contact your local Workforce Investment Board.

Regional Career Education Partnerships (RCEPs) also exist in almost all corners of Pennsylvania.  While typically youth serving organizations, the RCEPs provide an inherent benefit to emplyers as well.  Seminars,  board meetings and employer in the workplace series' allow you businesses to connect with superintendents, teachers and career counselors to help educational leaders identify and fill the gaps between what is being taught in the classroom and what skills incoming workers lack.  RCEP programs also provide connections to schools in your area for the purpose of providing job shadowing opportunities and even marketing an internship opportunity.  Contact your local School district or Intermediate Unit to find the nearest RCEP.
