The regional SharePoint website has been created as a resource on reports, events, updates, etc.   (http://sharepoint.pghtech.org/stemcenter-swpa/default.aspx).

The Pittsburgh Regional Compact of the Allegheny Conference on Community Development has agreed to collaborate with the SWPA Regional STEM Initiative for the region’s STEM Compact.  Pittsburgh Regional Compact includes 136 employers, 57 school districts, and 34 partnering organizations. The Math & Science Collaborative of Southwestern PA distributed 17,000 Math & Science Journals to teachers and administrators across the region; in October the collaborative convened leadership groups to develop action plans for M & S education; in November and December it hosted several events and workshops on Standards Alligned Systems, and Science and Math professional development.

The IU-1 Center for Science Education has initiated or continued numerous projects and programs, including several Agile Robotics programs with California University for high school and middle school students. Science Matters, now in its 13th year, providing professional development and resources to over 400 teachers in 15 school districts.
