FEATURED RESOURCES

Southeast Region STEM Compact

The Southeast Pennsylvania STEM Network was formally established in April of 2008.  With a long tradition of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics partnerships, including the Philadelphia STEM Compact, the Southeast STEM Network features strong leadership and abundant resources.  The five-county region convenes educators, workforce/economic development organizations, businesses and government with a mutual commitment to increasing STEM education and training, and raising awareness among all audiences.

The region is also fortunate to have two major organizations working on STEM-related issues.  One is the National Science Foundation-funded Math Science Partnership of Greater Philadelphia, which convened its partner schools in a STEM Forum in the Spring of 2006; the other is the Philadelphia Education Fund’s Math Science Coalition, which began its mission to enhance the quality of math and science teaching in the Philadelphia public schools so that its students can excel in math and science.
