The second draft of the regional Gap Analysis is due by January 30th.  It is expected that the results of this study will be blended with other regional primary occupational data received from the WIBs and other organizations.  Focus groups will be conducted to provide input into the trends, suggested policies and general recommendations provided by the Gap Analysis report.  The number of business/industry and educational partners that have signed the Regional Compact continues to increase.  Total of 36 organizations have signed the Compact. Members of the NW Steering Committee continue to develop plans that will increase the number of Regional Compact members.   In terms of the Communications Strategy, representatives from IUs 4, 5, 6, and 28 were recently added to the NW STEM Steering Committee bringing its total number to sixteen 16 members. These four new members will enhance communications to a number of organizations in both education and business/industry.
