Leaders gather to discuss STEM

Innovation in STEM brought together recently nearly 300 leaders from industry, academia and government at Lincoln Financial Field to support a regional collaboration around Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education.
Hosted by Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC), the event included speakers from Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC), National Defense Education Program (NDEP), Defense Research and Engineering (DDR&E), United States Navy, STEM Education Alliance, Virginia Demonstration Project, College of William, Naval Sea Systems Command, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, College of Engineering, University of Pennsylvania, as well as the College of Engineering, Drexel University.
The program resulted in more than 140 volunteers registering to support the regional STEM collaborative and become active participants in the creation of new STEM programs.
