These volunteer committees are made up of members of the Pennsylvania STEM Initiative Design Team, Executive Committee, Regional Networks and other key initiative leaders. These committees address specific focus areas. They meet regularly while their specific function is in process and then are dissolved upon completion.
Current Committees:
Communications Committee - The Communications Committee is currently collaborating on several projects. The approval of the design of the current STEM website, the completion of the PA STEM Initiative: Strategic Program Guide, and Strategic Communications Guide as well as several other communication pieces such as the Communications Toolkit, Newsletter and Program Brochure are among the projects the committee is overseeing.
Sustainability Committee - The Sustainability Committee is discussing the financial future of the Initiaive. The funding from NGA and the Team Pennsylvania Foundation was a two-year grant. At the end of that cycle, in the summer of 2009, the Pennsylvania STEM Initiative will need to secure funding either through business community support, legislation or other means. Identifying and securing additional funding is the priority of the Sustainability Committee.
